Judith Rossell is the multi-award-winning author-illustrator of the bestselling Stella Montgomery trilogy, Withering-by-Sea, Wormwood Mire and Wakestone Hall, the new illustrated middle-grade novel, The Midwatch, and the junior fiction Spud and Snowball series. Before beginning her career in children’s books, Judith worked as a government scientist and also for a cotton-spinning company. Judith has written nearly 20 books and illustrated more than 80. Her work has been published in the US and UK, and translated into 20 languages. She lives in Melbourne, Australia.
